For sale here is a Walt Carpenter Model 756 "Highlander Special". 7 1/2 foot rod for a 5 weight line. Two sections and one tip. Overall the rod is in excellent condition. Impregnated cane. Gently swelled butt, cigar grip, blued cap and ring over a mahogany spacer, transparent tan silk wraps with black edges, cinnamon silks applied at the ferrules and tip tops, and perfect fitting size 12/64 blued Swiss-style truncated ferrules. The bluing on the female ferrule is a bit uneven but fully intact. Medium action rod. Comes with original bag and tube. The rod weighs 3 1/2 oz. The bag has three sections with a dowel in one of the tip sections.
