• A review of eight randomised controlled trials, with 988 infants up to 36 months of age supports the use of LGG in the treatment of acute diarrhoea, by significantly reducing the duration of diarrhoea. In one of the RCT's, evidence showed LGG to effectively reduce diarrhoea from six days to three days in 100 children aged between 3 and 36 months of age.
• If children have been taking a course of antibiotics, Flora Care for Kids may assist in maintaining the levels of normal healthy flora that may have been disrupted: A randomised trial of 202 children aged 6 months to 10 years, measured the effectiveness of LGG alongside a 10 day course of antibiotics compared to placebo. In children taking LGG, there was a reduced incidence and duration of Antibiotic Associated Diarrhoea.
