Flames of Orion is an indie tabletop miniatures game that draws from both Battletech and Warhammer 40,000  to play out battles of giant, hulking robots fighting in an age of darkness and decay. For fans looking for a more accessible giant robot game that has the "vibes" of the two aforementioned games without the complexity its a good time.

And if you're new to the hobby, Flames of Orion isn't a bad place to start. The rules are easy to pick up, it requires only a few miniatures to play and it's miniatures agnostic, so grab those small Gundam or Macross models you've got laying around and get playing.
