Clinical Benefits:

• The CAP activation involves the vagus nerve and has anti-inflammatory effects. Association with a reduction in gastrointestinal and systemic inflammation, make the CAP a potential treatment target for intestinal permeability, gastrointestinal resilience, and systemic inflammation. Studies conducted in animals and in vitro found that Andrographis paniculata and Coptis chinensis both activate the CAP. Zingiber officinale (Ginger) inhibits Acetylcholinesterase in vitro, which reduces the breakdown of acetylcholine.
