"Banshuori was born in Nishiwaki, Hyogo Prefecture, a famous yarn-dyed production area. Banshu-ori is made by dyeing from the threads. The unique method of dyeing and weaving from the threads has earned it a high reputation for its natural texture, rich colours and softness to the skin.

The collar, the most important part of the B.D. shirt, is made from a special material that is used to give the shirt a more three-dimensional look. The breast pocket is a classic size (13 x 11) and the buttons are made of high-grade Japanese shell buttons, which are favoured worldwide.
