For sale here is a Gary Howells bamboo rod - 8 feet for a 5 weight line, labeled 3 7/8 oz. The rod actually weighs 4 oz. on my scale. Size 14/64 ferrules. Serial #4437.  The rod is in excellent+ original condition showing only very minimal signs of use. All sections are straight. Carbide stripping guide, wrapped in brown thread with gold trim. Reverse half wells grip, uplocking aluminum reel seat with gorgeous zebrawood spacer. Very slightly swelled butt. There is a small ring of red around the butt of the grip from the red rod bag. The ferrule fit is nice and tight. Lovely medium action; not as slow as many of Gary's tapers. Original bag and labeled tube.
