A super convincing watch from Stepan's atelier in Helsinki is this automatic winding Korona K1. The mixture of greys and silvers against the stainless steel case creates a very sophisticated look and is quite stunning to view as light reflects off the hour chapters and grill below. The date discreetly placed at 6 o'clock and is hollowed out providing a small view of the escapement. I'm a giant fan of Sarpaneva's scalloped case and bezel as well as his unique hand set.

The reverse side shows a rhodium plated movement with perlage across the plates. The rotor features two large pieces of white gold with a cut out section between the two, allowing for the date to be viewed again.

Stainless steel case measures 42mm x 10.2mm x 45.5mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Complete w/ Box & Papers dated March 2023.
