This ring is no exception. Its interior is inscribed A.O.Connor from Granny 13 Sept 1896, dated September 1896. This late Victorian jewel in buttery yellow gold is claw-set with a charming light blue unheated Sri Lankan sapphire in a particularly attractive octagonal step-cut - a rare and unusual shape for sapphires in this period, more commonly reserved for emeralds.
