NovoPen® 6

The NovoPen® 6 from Novo Nordisk is a smart insulin pen for self-injection for enhanced diabetes management. This pen automatically records insulin dosing information, including the time, date and number of units administered. It stores the last 800 doses, including flow check doses, allowing the user to access this data at any time. An integrated display shows the number of units and the time of the last injection, ensuring precise control over insulin dosing.

The insulin pen is also equipped with a dose counter and marker and is specifically designed for use with 3-ml Penfill insulin cartridges from Novo Nordisk. NovoPen® 6 is compatible with a wide range of diabetes apps  and users can view insulin dosing and glucose information digitally, allowing them to analyse their injection habits and understand how these impact glucose levels. The simple data transfer to external devices also supports collaboration with healthcare providers.

The insulin pen is designed for use with hygienic disposable needles and is compatible with Novofine needles up to 8 mm in length. The Luer lock connector provides a secure hold for needles, ensuring additional safety during use.

Personal Injection Log

The pen's display includes an integrated memory function that supports near-field communication (NFC). With an NFC-enabled device such as a smartphone, tablet, PC or glucose meter, you can transfer your injection history directly from the pen and create a personal injection log. Ensure the device has compatible app or software to read and display your injection data. To transfer, simply hold the pen’s activated display against the NFC area of the chosen device. Wait a moment for the details of your last injection to transfer.
