NANGA
Founded in 1941 in Maibara, Shiga. NANGA is a Japanese manufacturer specializing in premium down products, committed to domestic production and uncompromising quality. Using responsibly sourced down and refined in-house construction techniques, the brand is recognized as a benchmark for winter outerwear in Japan.

Next-generation outdoor fabric
The outer shell is made from Taslan nylon featuring Komatsu Matere’s highly advanced “Dantotsu water-repellent” technology.
Features of Dantotsu Water Repellency
● Exceptional water resistance
The unique finish increases the contact angle of water droplets, preventing them from spreading and allowing them to roll off smoothly — delivering outstanding water shedding performance.
A C6-based water-repellent treatment is used, free of PFOA.
*PFOA: An abbreviation for “Perfluorooctanoic acid.”
It is one of the fluorinated compounds, and because it is resistant to degradation and tends to accumulate in the environment, it has raised concerns about its adverse effects.
● Long-lasting durability
Even after repeated washing — up to 100 cycles — the water repellency remains remarkably stable. The material is also highly resistant to abrasion, maintaining performance over time.
Though nylon-based, the fabric offers a matte, cotton-like surface that blends effortlessly into the city — a refined expression of contemporary outdoor style.
Lightweight warmth, sourced in Japan
The insulation is premium recycled down from Kawada Feather, also based in Shiga — approximately 220g of 700 fill power down. It delivers lightness, loft, and thermal performance well beyond its weight.
The high-performance shell offsets down’s natural weakness against moisture, ensuring warmth even in demanding conditions. Responsible sourcing meets elevated comfort — the essence of NANGA’s philosophy.
Faithful details, refined function
Inspired by the original Aurora Down jacket, this model features a stand-collar base design with a removable hood as a modern update.

The hood is constructed in three panels for a natural contour and can be adjusted via drawcord for a secure fit.
The front placket combines a waterproof zipper with snap buttons for both protection and convenience.
The two-way zipper allows ventilation control and styling versatility.
Large hand pockets inherit the design of the AURORA TEX series — easy to access even with gloves, and ideal for warmth retention.
Velcro cuffs and a drawcord hem allow fine adjustment to seal out cold air.
The jacket features a three-panel quilt construction that achieves volume while maintaining a clean silhouette — a refined, urban take on heritage mountain gear.
