The Laguiole en Aubrac Sommelier or corkscrew is the result of a seamless blend between wine and Laguiole knife.

As a practical and functional object becoming an Art item, it is an integral part of the history of Aubrac people. The sommelier takes us back to the time of the ‘bougnats,’ in the early 19th century, when the Aubrac farmers left their mountains to reach Paris in order to deliver wood and coal for heating. In the 1950s, thanks to their hard work and savings, the ‘bougnats’ acquired establishments and transformed their business into breweries. Today, they form the ‘bistrocracy’ of the Aveyronnais in Paris, where the corkscrew was a must-have!

The design of the Laguiole en Aubrac Sommelier allows for the optimal balance between functionality, ergonomics, and elegance. Our sommelier is distinguished by its undulating curves: a sleek and delicate style that fits perfectly in the hand. The corkscrew is crafted with a 5-turn conical spiral, enabling better penetration into the cork and facilitating an effortless opening of the wine bottle.
