The Sakai Takayuki Inox Chinese Cleaver, aka Chuka Bocho in Japanese, is relatively thin compared to typical Chinese cleavers, yet it remains a versatile and rugged knife. The very simple Migaki finish means no fancy aesthetics, requiring less care. It has a good heft for chopping action but isn't heavy for domestic use. It's the perfect size for home cooks.
The thickness of the cleaver is just about right, creating a reasonable secondary bevel size that tends to separate various types of food more efficiently than very small secondary bevels.
