Beautiful, darkly flamed cane with transparent chestnut wraps and double bands of black tipping. Oxidized hardware. Sculpted nickel silver winding check with ring hook keeper attached. Classic cigar grip with only light soiling. Payne-style cap and ring reel seat with a fine, lightly varnished, mortised wood spacer. There is wear to the edge of the butt cap from normal use. Oxidized, swiss-style ferrules size 11/64. The fit is nice and tight as it should be. Medium fast, dry fly action. The rod has delicate tips but also a good deal of backbone if called upon. The rod weighs 3.95 oz. Includes original bag with stiffening dowell and tube with brass fittings and label.
