Vintage 20s Italian gros point mixed lace wedding dress
This eclectic piece is amazing and beautiful in its design and construction
The dress is creamy white in color and is fashioned of lace and silk net.
There are many different types of lace in this piece, but the stand out is the Italian gros point. There are layers of net and lace ruffling all edged in silk piping.
The dress has a multitude of closures; snaps, hook and eyes on both the outer lace and the inner net. I will ship this with everything hooked and snapped so you can be aware of how it closes. A few of the hook and eyes do not stay closed so you may have to replace them with new ones...
The dress is strong and wearable and does have a few tiny holes to the net on the bodice and the net tulle skirting. They are small and not noticeable. There is also a small bit of shred to the net near the back grosgrain belted area on the inside; not a big deal. This dress has not been cleaned ; I would like to leave that to the new owner of this piece; I would avoid a dry cleaner that does not specifically deal in antique clothing; I could also share laundering suggestions. There really aren't any stains so it could be worn as is.
