Local Story: Blackcomb Mountain, Blackcomb Glacier, Blackcomb Creek, Whistler Blackcomb... Sure, Whistler Mountain is a superstar but Blackcomb is also kind of a big deal around here! If you've ever seen Blackcomb Mountain, you get how it got its name - the rock shape of it's peak resembles a black rooster's comb.

Blackcomb hosts about half the ski runs at Whistler Blackcomb ski resort and boasts a top elevation of 2,436m. Blackcomb skiing is generally a bit steeper with lots of tree runs, the legendary sun-blessed 7th Heaven area and the most delish fully-loaded waffles ever made in the alpine.
