We steam bend and carefully dimension our one-ply counterhoops here at our Vermont shop using local hard maple. This listing is for bass drum counterhoops made with no holes.

Many times an antique or vintage drum will need to have the counterhoop formed directly on the shell because the shell is out of round or of an unusual diameter. You can send the shell (or the entire drum) to us to have the counterhoop sized. But if you feel comfortable taking on the project, you can purchase unglued counterhoops (separate listing) to fit and glue the counterhoop yourself on your shell.
Our glued hoops are formed for shells of standard dimensions, typically determined by whether or not your shell will work with a Remo or similar synthetic head. 

• For 18" through 28" diameters, 3/8" thick is our standard size; 5/16" thick is suitable for drums that need rope hooks.
• For 30" through 40", 5/16" is our standard thickness.
• While we often have stock of these counterhoops,  many times they need to be made to order, which can take 2 to 3 weeks on average.
• Rope holes can be added for an additional charge, those counterhoops are listed separately.
• Custom dimensions can be special ordered, most often at no additional charge but some sizes will have a 25% surcharge - call or email with your information.
