DESCRIPTION:

Excellent craftsmanship is shown throughout this amazing pair of earrings! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Helena Yazzie, out of genuine sterling silver, along with real Turquoise, and Coral beads. FOUR beads (TWO in each earring) are placed in the midst of a silver web design, while ONE silver feather dangle at the end of each earring for an amazing finish. It is believed that each carefully woven web will catch your bad dreams in the night. The bad spirit dreams will get caught in the web and disappear with the morning sun. However, the good spirit dreams will find their way to the center spirit hole and will float down the sacred feather. Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

Corals are known to be very soothing and very protective. Coral is of an organic origin; it is the skeletal remains of marine animals called Coral Polyps. Colonies of these tiny creatures build branching structures as they grow, gradually forming reefs and atolls.
