For sale here is a very scarce Dingley 3" horseshoe latch fly reel. Made for and stamped Westley Richards & Co. Ltd. Birmingham. The reel is in excellent overall condition with no repairs or un-original parts. The smooth brass reel foot is unaltered. The pillars are in fine condition with no line burns. The ivorine handle spins freely. Excellent original leaded finish. Marked D1 inside, on the foot, and one dot appears on the brass gear. Nice and strong fixed check. Capacity for a 5 weight line plus backing. Weight 5 3/4 oz. The reel foot length is 2 1/2". The reel can be fished right or left hand retrieve as the caliper spring tension bias is neutral.
