Mathys Murfill Renovation Paint – Elastic, Long-Lasting Protection for Walls

MURFILL® Renovation Paint is a highly elastic, matt-finish coating designed for both historical and modern buildings. With up to 500% elasticity, it maintains lasting flexibility even at temperatures down to -30°C, protecting walls from micro-cracks and structural movement. Its water vapour permeability allows walls to breathe, while excellent resistance to aging, contamination, and carbonatation ensures long-lasting performance.

Surface Preparation

Ensure the substrate is clean, sound, and dry (maximum 6% humidity) before application. Remove moss, algae, or other contaminants with a suitable detergent. Previously painted surfaces in good condition can be coated directly after thorough brushing. Chalky paints or bare substrates should first be primed with Pegafix. Smooth or non-porous surfaces should be primed with white Pegalink or a coat of Noxyde (except white, diluted 20% with water). For stain or graffiti blocking, or for very fast recoating, use Zinsser primers Bulls Eye 123, 123 Plus, or Cover-Stain. Small cracks (<0.5 mm) can be filled with Murfill Renovation Paint, while larger cracks (>0.5 mm) should be sealed with Elastofill or Mur-Filler acrylic sealants.
