AndCoat Epoxy Repair Mortar – High-Performance Epoxy Repair Mortar
AndCoat Epoxy Repair Mortar is a two-pack, epoxy resin-based mortar designed for repairing concrete at thicknesses from 3 to 50mm. The system combines a white base component with a black hardener component to produce a mid-grey finish. It cures quickly, adheres strongly, and provides a durable, chemical and abrasion-resistant repair suitable for both interior and exterior use.
Key Features:
To be assured of maximum adhesion and best properties from Andrews Coatings products the correct surface preparation is essential. The concrete substrate must be a minimum of 28 days old and the residual moisture content must be a maximum of 75% RH. The substrate should be sound with a minimum compressive strength of 25 N/mm2 and a minimum pull-off strength of 1.5 N/mm2. The surface must be clean, dry and free of contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings and surface treatments and contain a functioning damp proof membrane. If in doubt, apply a test area first. Concrete substrates should be mechanically prepared using vacuum enclosed abrasive blast cleaning or diamond grinding equipment to remove laitance and previous surface treatments followed by thorough vacuuming leaving an open textured surface. Weak concrete must be removed and repaired using recommended Andrews Coatings products.
Coverage: Approximately 1.6kg per 1mm thickness per m²
Recoatable: After 4–6 hours depending on temperature
Colour: Mid-grey finish
Available in: 5kg, 10kg, 20kg
Shelf life: 12 months
AndCoat Epoxy Repair Mortar comprises of two equal components which can be mixed by either weight or volume at a ratio of 1:1. The mixed material should have a consistent streak free colour when correctly mixed.
Place material by roughing out before compaction. Ensure good compaction before finishing with a stainless steel trowel or chemically resistant plastic float. To prevent drag
it is advisable to wipe the trowel with a rag moistened with white spirit or Andrews Coatings Tool Clean. The ambient temperature of the substrate and works area should be a minimum of 15°C during the application and curing period, if not adhered to this can adversely affect the workability, cure, colour and appearance of the system. Materials and substrate temperature must be above 10°C
