Teamac Metaclor Antifouling Primer is a highly versatile chlorinated rubber-based primer designed for underwater and marine applications. Formulated with zinc phosphate, it delivers reliable corrosion resistance on steel and exceptional adhesion to wood and GRP (glass reinforced plastic).

Suitable for narrowboats, cruisers, yachts, barges and marine infrastructure, it can be used as a direct-to-metal primer or as a sealer coat over aged coatings. Metaclor is fully compatible with antifouling systems including Teamac D Plus, A Plus and Protector II.

Surface Preparation

• Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, rust and scale

• Blast clean to SA 2½ for best results

• If blasting is not feasible, mechanically abrade to bright metal standard

• Existing coatings must be cleaned, degreased and sanded

• Apply a test patch to check compatibility with conventional paints

• Spot prime bare areas before full coating application
