The M&M Boys!

Offered here is a rare 8x10 photo signed by the M&M Boys, Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris – who took the baseball world by storm in the early 1960s. Of course, next to Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, this is the most coveted duo in the history of Major League Baseball. The 1961 season is one of baseball’s most iconic and important, as Mantle and Maris battled to break Babe Ruth’s single season home run record of 60 home runs. At the end of the season they combined for a MLB record of 115 home runs, with Maris hitting 61 total HRs, an American League record that stood for 61 years (ironic) until Aaron Judge belted 62 HR's in the 2022 season.

Mantle and Maris were teammates from 1960-1966. During that time, they combined for an astounding 419 home runs, won 3x consecutive MVP Awards (Maris: 1960-'61, Mantle: 1962), and 2x consecutive World Series Titles (1961-1962)... an absolutely historic run!

Despite their legendary connection and unforgettable Yankee legacy, there is not a lot of dual-signed memorabilia featuring both Mantle and Maris. Unfortunately both passed away young, before collecting autographs became a commercialized hobby - Maris died in 1985 at just 51 years old, Mantle died in 1995 at 63 years old. Anything signed by both is extremely rare and highly desirable. This classic photo features flawless autographs signed in bold blue ink!
