We love the Galaxy Precision Eclipse Helmet for its innovative safety features, exceptional comfort, and refined design. The subtle chrome detailing enhances its elegant look while maintaining a timeless style. Designed with rider comfort in mind, the advanced airflow system provides excellent ventilation to help keep us cool no matter what the ride brings.
ShellThe thicker outer shell is made from ABS. Its role is to disperse the energy from an impact over the helmet's surface. When your helmet strikes an object, the shell distributes the shock wave by dispersing it. Both light and rigid, ABS is also highly scratch-resistant.
Air vents The Galaxy Precision Eclipse riding helmet features a new airflow system with 11 apertures inside the helmet and 2 vents front and rear. This new system provides better airflow and keeps your head cool. It also has air ducts under the visor to improve airflow inside the helmet.
Fastening systemThe helmet fastening has been completely redesigned with an easy-to-use "Fidlock" magnetic fastener. This means you can clip and unclip the helmet with one hand when riding. The helmet fastener comes with a nylon lock ring for added safety providing the rider with added safety.
The nylon and leather harness ensures the helmet fits securely on the rider's head. The Y-shaped, 3-point fastening system ensures the helmet sits firmly on your head.
Helmet InteriorThe helmet interior is made from EPS (expanded polystyrene foam) in a new ground-breaking shape to absorb the energy from impacts by dispersing it. As a result, the liner crushes on impact and becomes far denser.
Inside the helmet, the liner is partly covered in blue waffle-shaped ERT (Energy Reduction Technology) foam pads. This new technical innovation better spreads out the energy from small bumps and big impacts. It also has anti-rotational properties. If you take a hit while riding, the blue waffle-shaped pads move with your head across the helmet shell to limit the risk of head injuries. And for added comfort...Elasticated straps at the rear of the helmet relieve any pressure on the back of the head so you can ride comfortably with your hair up.
The Eclipse Visor
The elegant, wide visor has been carefully considered to protect the rider's skin from the sun without obstructing their field of vision.
A riding helmet is paramount for every rider's safety, whatever their level. All our riding helmets feature the CE mark and SEI certification. They have also successfully passed EN1384-2023 and F1163-2023 quality standards.
That said, you do need to pay special attention to your helmet. As our impact tests show, helmet safety is impaired if the helmet liner has retracted after a blow, even if there are no marks on it from a fall. That's why you must change your riding helmet after suffering an impact.
We recommend replacing a helmet, at the latest, 5 years after the date of purchase, even if you do not see any evidence of impacts or damage.
