The pressure is sent to the test fixture instead of the measuring actuator. - When the manometer is connected to the test fixture, pressure is measured as air escapes through the leaking rail check valve. - If you use a water container instead of a manometer, you will see bubbles as air escapes through the leaking rail check valve. - Overhead set marks on the damper are used to identify which of the cylinders on the compression stroke and therefore which injector has failed, if the pressure or air bubbles have changed.
