The POC Axion Spin inherits many of the technological innovations from previous models to create a Trail and Enduro helmet that provides exceptional coverage and some great features designed to protect your brain and neck in the event of an accident.
The Axion Spin features new rotational liner technology developed by POC to be more comfortable than other systems on the market. SPIN (Shearing Pad INside) uses a silicon gel-like membrane inside the pad that allows the helmet to rotate a small amount independently of the head to reduce the rotational forces on the brain caused by oblique impacts. The helmet also features a breakaway peak designed to snap off in a crash so it doesn't snag on objects and damage your neck.

Construction: The helmet uses reinforced EPS liner and optimised unibody polycarbonate shell construction to maximise the airflow while keeping the weight down.

Rotational liner: The Axion Spin uses POC's new SPIN padding system. SPIN (Shearing Pad INside) uses a silicon gel-like membrane inside the pad that allows the helmet to rotate a small amount independently of the head to reduce the rotational forces on the brain caused by oblique impacts. The system is built into the pads themselves and is intended to provide a less complex and more comfortable system than is possible with MIPS.

Straps: The straps are adjustable and use a standard quick-release buckle.

Retention System: The helmet uses POC's 360 fit system which is a dial-type retention system that is effective at dialling in the fit and stabilising the helmet on your head.

Ventilation: There are 15 or so nice big vents with dedicated channels to keep the cool air coming in and the hot air going out.

Padding: The SPIN pads used in this helmet are made from surgical grade silicone and offer an extra degree of protection while also being super comfy.

Visor: The visor is adjustable so you can get it just right. It's also designed to shear off in a crash. This prevents the visor snagging on objects which can wrench your neck and cause injury.
