For sale here is a hollow-built Payne 204L taper bamboo rod built by A.J. Thramer. 8'6" 3/2 for a 5 weight line. Serial no. D114. The rod is in excellent condition. All sections are full length with a slight set in one tip. 

Moderately tempered cane with chestnut wraps and gold tipping. Gold and black tipping at the winding check. Lightly blued guides. Agate stripping guide. Gradually swelled butt. Reverse half wells grip with moderate soiling. Bright aluminum up-locking reel seat over a walnut spacer. The blued ferrules are size 17/64 and 11/64, the fit is perfect. The rod weighs 5.10 oz.
