Installation Guidelines

• Belt Load: Generating 250A creates immense mechanical resistance. You must ensure your engine is equipped with a serpentine belt conversion; a single V-belt cannot drive this alternator and will burn up instantly.

• Cable Gauge: Due to the 250A output, you must use high-quality, marine-grade battery cables. For most runs, 2/0 AWG or larger is required to prevent voltage drop and fire hazards.

• Programming: If you are using Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries, you must select the LFP profile on the MC-618 regulator to ensure the alternator doesn't exceed the batteries' maximum charge rate.
