For sale here is a Payne Model 96 in excellent original condition. 6 1/2 feet in length with two sections and two tips. The rod weighs 2.6 oz. Oxidized cap and ring reel seat over cork. Java brown silks tipped yellow with additional purple tipping at winding check and male ferrules. All sections are full length and straight and the 9/64 ferrule fit is buttery smooth. Nice medium fast dry fly action. Complete with original bag and tube. Made between 1963 and 1968 before Jim Payne's passing.
