Prized for its great form and hardy evergreen foliage, Green Island sought after for use in foundation planting, borders, hedges, slopes and mass plantings. It has a spreading growth habit. At maturity, it can reach around 5' tall and 5' wide. It is easy to grow and responds well to pruning. 

You will want to plant this Ilex in well-draining soil, especially when rooting young plants. Give it full sun to partial shade. It is drought tolerant once established, and hardy to -10°F when protected from windchill.
