For sale here is a stunning Daryll Whitehead Presentation Midge rod. This is Daryll's rendition of the classic Paul H. Young Midge rod. 6'3" 2/2 for a 4 weight line. Made in 2008. The rod weighs 2.85 oz. Excellent+ condition. Blonde cane with dark gold silks tipped in cardinal. Tips are numbered I and II at the tip-tops using burgundy tipping. Blued guides and a beautiful honey-toned agate stripper. Cigar grip slightly reminiscent of a Garrison grip is in wonderful shape with very light soiling.  Beautifully engraved nickel-silver cap and ring reel seat with an elegant, circassian walnut spacer. The are a few light scratches on the seat from a reel foot. The Paulo Barbetti engravings on the nickel-silver reel seat hardware and ferrules are very nicely done, resulting in a finely detailed rod without being ostentatious. Ferrule size 11/64, the fit is perfect. Comes with fine ivory ferrule plug. The rod has a lively and crisp fast progressive action. Comes with original bag and labeled tube with brass fittings. A beautiful small stream rod from a true craftsman.
