AFV Club American M548A1 Tracked Cargo Carrier is a modern American tracked transport vehicle. The first prototypes of the vehicle were created in the mid-1960s. The drive is provided by a single motor Detroit Diesel 6V53 with a power of 204 HP. The armament of the car is usually a single machine gun cal. 7.62 or 12.7 mm. The M548 vehicle was built on the basis of the chassis and many components of the M113, the basic US Army armored personnel carrier in the 1960s and 1970s. The M548 served as a supply wagon, ammunition wagon, and general-purpose transport vehicle that performed quite well off-road, a trait that surpassed many wheeled vehicles in the U.S. Army.
