Armin Strom's Mirrored Force Resonance First Edition, a masterpiece of modern independent horology.

Armin Strom has taken a principle recognized by master clockmakers since the 17th century and brought it to the 21st. The twin, mirror-image balance wheels are connected by a single, meticulously crafted resonance clutch spring which is a patented innovation. As the two oscillators beat closely, they naturally begin to synchronize. This phenomenon of resonance results in a stabilizing and self-regulating effect. By locking into a sympathetic rhythm, the watch achieves a higher, more stable rate leading to demonstrable improvements in precision and chronometric stability. The off-centered dial is comprised of black gold with a lovely grained finish.

The reverse side reveals Armin Strom's manufacture Calibre ARF21 which beats at an unusual 3.5 Hz and delivers a power reserve of 48 hours. Adjacent to the ratchet wheel with - my personal fave - "passenger click" mechanism lie two independent barrels which are skeletonized to expose the mainsprings inside.

The Stainless Steel case measures 43mm x 11.55mm x 49.6mm and is in excellent condition. Furnished on an OEM navy hornback Alligator strap with Armin Strom stainless steel pin buckle. Complete with Box and Papers dated September 5th, 2022. At the time of listing, 6 years and 8 months remain on the Armin Strom 10 year warranty.
