A very nice Hardy Brass Faced Perfect Fly Reel, 3 3/4" diameter with the 1904 check. Excellent condition throughout, the only thing of note being that at some point two screws were put into the underside of the brass foot alongside the existing rivets for additional support (though they are nicely sunk and the foot is tight so it was a professional job) and the pillar closest to the reel foot has some minor line burn. Otherwise this reel is in excellent condition free of any major dings, cracks, or other issues. It carries a fine patina on the brass face which sports the excellent rod-in-hand logo. The patina is similarly good on the frame which sports a fine coin edge knurl on the outer edge. The smooth brass foot measures approximately 3 1/8". The reel is nice and tight with no wobble whatsoever and the check is nice and smooth. The ivorine handle spins freely and it has the handsome turks head drag adjuster. A nice example of a hard-to-find model!
