Paradisiello

Beyond the ancient Roman roads, Naples is also a city of narrow alleyways with imaginative names. Paradisiello, small paradise, is one of them: 150 steps of volcanic rock leading to a panoramic viewpoint above the city. This glove takes its form from that image.

Built as a study in bilateral contrast: lambskin nappa on the palm, worked entirely by hand for softness and precision; a Holland & Sherry merino wool panel on top for texture and warmth. The two materials meeting at the edge of the hand is the design. A fabric-covered button snap at the wrist provides a snug fit. Black.

The monochrome palette keeps the material contrast clear. Two different surfaces, one direction. Named for a staircase that opens onto the city.
