Why Use a Blackout Backdrop

Blackout theatrical backdrops block light from passing through the fabric’s rear side. While standard printed backdrops are suitable for most settings, blackout backdrops are recommended for times when stray light from behind could cause issues. For example, a regular theatrical backdrop works well when used near a wall; however, if you plan to hang your backdrop in front of a window, or suspended in the middle of a room, a blackout backdrop is recommended.

240gsm Blackout Polyester Fabric

Made from 210gsm Knitted Polyester, the PiXAPRO 3x6m Custom Premium Blackout  Stage and Theatre Blackout Backdrop is designed to eliminate unwanted stray light from behind from affecting your productions. Since the backdrop is made from polyester, the fabric has a slight stretchiness, which helps prevent wrinkles when the correct amount of tension is used, ensuring a smooth, crease-free surface.

Fire Retardancy

Our Fire Certificate for stage backcloth material is unique in the industry in that we have our fabrics tested for flame retardancy after printing. Many venue safety officers will now not accept a generic fire safety certificate if it is just for the base fabric.

Washable

The PiXAPRO 3x6m Custom Premium Blackout  Stage and Theatre Backdrop can be hand-washed or machine-washed (depending on size) on a low-temperature setting. This enables you to easily clean the backdrop if it gets soiled.

Stitched Loop Top for Crossbar Attachment
