Made of S-Glass and weighing 2.55 oz. McFarland is arguably rolling some of the best glass blanks out there right now. The rod features a black unsanded blank with emerald green wraps. The winding check, signature wrap, stripping guide, ferrules, and tip-top are accented with a fine black band bisecting the wrap. The winding check, ferrules, and tip-top also have a silver accent band. Bright guides. The sleeve ferrules fit perfectly. White witness sights for easy alignment. Fine rope pattern nickel silver winding check. Modified half wells grip with light soiling. Down locking, screw lock nickel silver reel seat with a beautiful burl maple spacer. There is very light wear around the edge of the butt cap. The action is wonderful. Medium side of medium-fast action and with all the feel one looks for in a glass rod.
