The ASI 0698 Utility Shelf was designed for use in toilet compartments where space is limited, but you still wish to offer a shelf area for users' personal effects. When not in use, the shelf remains folded away against the side of the partition, and when needed, can be lowered into place. The counterbalanced spring mechanism included in the design allows the shelf to return to its folded position automatically when it is finished being used. The shelf is made of type-304, 18-8 alloy, 18-gauge stainless steel and measures 12-7/16 inches in length by 5-3/16 inches in width. When lowered, the shelf extends from the mounting surface by 14-5/8 inches. A slightly raised rim is featured along the entire perimeter to help prevent objects from slipping off of the shelf and onto the floor. The shelf features an attractive satin finish, which has an eye-catching gleam, but is less likely to show fingerprinting that polished surfaces.
