Rooted in Japan’s high-quality textiles and a commitment to precise craftsmanship. Originally developed as a ROCOCO exclusive line for JAPAN BLUE JEANS, the brand is relaunched in 2026 under the name “Blue refabric.”

Production is centered around partner factories of JAPAN BLUE JEANS. “Blue refabric” is a coined term combining “Blue”—representing Japanese denim—and “Refabric,” a blend of “Republic” and “Fabric.” Inspired by the idea of a “Blue Republic,” the brand honors Japan’s rich textile culture while offering garments that quietly elevate the individuality of the wearer.

Crafted primarily from premium denim sourced in Okayama, each piece is carefully made in trusted factories across Japan. The designs strike a balance between minimalism and strength, bringing out the natural character and texture of the fabric. From Japan—a nation of textiles—to the world, Blue refabric presents a new standard shaped by respect for Japanese craftsmanship.

13oz Selvedge Denim for Year-Round Wear
The fabric is made from 13oz selvedge denim, woven on one of the few remaining vintage shuttle looms. With warp threads tensioned in a manner close to hand-weaving and weft threads woven in slowly by skilled artisans, the fabric develops a rich texture with pronounced twill lines and natural depth.

Its medium weight and supple feel offer a well-balanced character suitable for year-round wear. With time, it develops beautiful fading and wear patterns, gradually becoming a pair uniquely your own.





The design follows the timeless five-pocket construction that defines classic denim. The front features a zip fly for smooth on and off, adding convenience for daily wear.

Punched rivets provide a rugged accent, lending the piece a vintage-inspired character.







The leather patch is made from cowhide, a detail that gains character with wear.



As proof that the piece was made at a partner factory of JAPAN BLUE JEANS, a label is attached on the inside.



When the hem is rolled up, the red selvedge line—an understated sign of fabric woven on a vintage shuttle loom—subtly appears, adding a refined, effortless touch to the styling.

The “PREP” silhouette, designed to create a clean leg line.
The silhouette is based on the “PREP,” once a popular standard from JAPAN BLUE JEANS. It features a slightly deeper rise, comfortable room through the thighs, and a strong taper from the knee to the hem, creating a flattering silhouette.

The calf is cut slim for a clean, streamlined look. The length is well balanced, allowing it to look complete even without a roll-up for a light, polished finish. Equally suited to sneakers and leather shoes, it works effortlessly across styles from casual to more refined.
