A restrained if not mute nose features elegant and notably cool scents of extract of dark pinot fruit that evidences background nuances of earth and humus. There is superb intensity to the mineralinflected, detailed and tension-filled middle weight flavors that culminate in a muscular, persistent and moderately austere finish. This is very Gevrey in character and, like the Chaffots, built to reward mid-term aging. Also recommended for those who can envision cellaring this for a minimum of 7 to 8 years. (91-93)/2024+
