Click to buy!  Imperial Topaz, also known as Golden Topaz, is one of the rarer colors of topaz -- varying from a golden-orange to red-orange-yellow to pink hues. It is an aluminum silicate fluorite hydroxide crystal. Topaz has a Mohs hardness of 8.

Measurements: .89" x .57" x .60" or 22.7mm x 14.6mm x 15.4mm.   

The Hopper Form. This variety of Topaz from this location in Zambia presents with beautifully faceted, prismatic crystals that often have an unique formation that is somewhere between a skeletal and “hoppered” growth - appearing to have a hollowed structure, sometimes with hoppered holes all the way through the crystal. Growth took place faster on the outer exterior of the crystal and slower within the depths or interior of the crystal.
