A little piece of furniture history

THE SOLDIER is a genuine design gem, designed by Poul M. Volther in 1951 for Copenhagen's Møbelsnedker exhibition. It is both comfortable and beautiful - and thus another good example of Poul M. Volther's fantastic talent as a furniture designer. The SOLDATEN chair is for you who love Danish craftsmanship. And for those of you who want to combine timeless design with optimal seating comfort.

A dining table chair in sustainable materials

The SOLDATEN chair is handmade in certified materials in collaboration with Danish suppliers. The chair is manufactured at a recognized furniture factory in West Jutland, and like our other furniture, it is naturally wood from FSC®-certified forests (FSC® N002763). When we choose FSC-certified wood, we do so out of consideration for both nature, people and animals. 

The cushions consist of a high-quality cold foam that protects you and your loved ones against brominated flame retardants and other potentially harmful chemicals. The majority of our furniture textiles are certified with the EU flower or Oeo-tex for the sake of both the environment and your health. The leather qualities are OEKO-TEX® LEATHER STANDARD certified. 

SOLDATEN is produced in both black-lacquered and matte-lacquered natural oak, where you can decide for yourself which textile should be on the seat. You can find inspiration at Sørensen leather.
