I found this piece of river ceramic glass while kayaking on the Harpeth River last summer. I love using found objects, and finding well shaped ones that lay flat are hard to come by. I love the floral/leaf detail and writing that can be seen, and is sure to be a part of some type of maker's mark on the bottom of a plate, bowl, or saucer. If you look closely, the cracked finish of the glaze is really soft and beautiful.

The band is thick, low dome, and very comfortable. A serrated bezel and two prongs hold the ceramic in place, and a cast floral succulent detail completes the ring.
