For sale here is a classic reel from Farlow's of London - a 3 inch "Aluminum" model reel - Hardy Perfect style. Pre-WWII vintage. Fixed check, nice and adequately tight mechanically. The winding plate features the Holdfast logo and maker info. The serial number is stamped on the reel foot. No line grooves to the bowtie pillars. Unaltered smooth brass reel foot. Original spool screw is in fine condition. Matching "2" stamp on each part of the reel. The handle grasp spins freely. These are very hard to find in clean and all-original condition with no issues like this one. It also comes with a correct vintage reinforced reel box, although not original to this particular reel.
