Variants

You can choose the VILHELM bar stool in two heights. One is 65 cm and the other is 75 cm. The lowest bar stool of 65 cm is perfect for your kitchen island or kitchen table. The high bar stool of 75 cm is made for a higher table or a bar.

The story behind the VILHELM bar stool

VILHELM was designed by the Danish designer Laurits Gersbøll. The bar stool had to fit Restaurant VILHELM, located at Grønbechs Hotel on Bornholm. The beautiful restaurant was first furnished with the HOLMEN dining table and SOLDATEN dining table chairs from MAKE nordic. And when the beautiful old bar needed to be renovated, the restaurant contacted us to ask if we would design a bar stool that matched the style.

The result is the fine and aesthetic VILHELM barstool in oak from FSC®-certified forests (FSC® N002763) with natural hemp webbing, which fits perfectly with the Nordic home and the Nordic spirit. Simplicity and functionality are important keywords. The elegant bar stools also have strong retro references to the 60s and 70s, when materials such as linen and hessian were very popular in the interior. When you choose the VILHELM bar stool, you choose a piece of furniture with a timeless design that will last for many years. That way, you avoid becoming part of the buy-and-throw-away culture.

A bar stool made of responsible materials

The VILHELM bar stool is handmade by skilled carpenters in solid oak from FSC®-certified forests (FSC® N002763). When you choose FSC, you help take care of our common land, as the wood comes from responsible forestry, where the people and animals that live in and around the forests are also taken care of.

The linen belts are Oeko-tex® certified and are produced without toxins. This certification protects both you and the environment against brominated flame retardants and other unwanted and potentially harmful chemicals. The labels set stricter requirements for the content of substances harmful to health than the legislation does - and we would like to take the extra precautions for your health.
