A knitwear project by Yonetomi that explores timeless essentials designed for a “new everyday.” Crafted with factory-level precision, each piece blends thoughtful details with subtle modernity, offering knitwear that complements the rhythms of contemporary life.







Durable texture created with tightly twisted cashmere yarn
The aim was to craft a cashmere knit cardigan that could be worn every day, gradually adapting to the body much like a pair of well-loved denim. By knitting luxurious cashmere yarn with exceptional density over time, this piece achieves a firm, tough texture that redefines the traditional image of cashmere sweaters.

This fabric can be hand-washed at home. While cashmere is often seen as delicate and difficult to care for, this material is designed from a completely different perspective—its softness and natural drape deepen with repeated washing, revealing the true character of cashmere over time.

Yarn craftsmanship
Instead of the soft yarns typically used in cashmere sweaters, this knit employs a specially commissioned, tightly twisted cashmere yarn. Twisted to the limit of the fiber’s strength, the result is a durable yarn that resists pilling—one of its subtle yet significant advantages.



A knit that evolves beautifully over time
The crisp texture of raw, untreated rigid cashmere is garment-dyed to create a softer feel and a gently rounded surface. With each wash, the material transforms—developing the supple softness and smooth touch characteristic of high-quality cashmere. It’s a piece you can truly make your own.
