Browntone cane, jade and black jasper silks with four bands of goldenrod tipping. Goldenrod at the winding check. Signature wrap like the guide wraps. Blued guides. The tip-tops are similar to early 20th century design, circular as opposed to the pear-shaped perfection tip-tops later used. Custom Granger replica ferrules with witness marks. The fit is nice and tight as it should be. Nickel silver winding check. Western-style grip in excellent shape with very little soiling. Nickel-silver sliding band reel seat that is a replica of the early Granger seats. Rod weighs 5.20 oz, a little heftier compared to the typical 8040 Model around 4 1/2 oz. that is better suited for a DT4 line. The ferrules are 15/64 and 10/64. The action is medium-fast.
