• Unique Rotor Design: The patented swing-out rotor design securely holds up to 2 PCR microplates at a 75° angle, ensuring all liquid samples move to the bottom of the wells for optimal sample collection. It accepts most common types of PCR plates, including skirted, semi-skirted, non-skirted, and most microtiter plates.
• Fast and Effective Operation: The centrifuge quickly accelerates to speeds of up to 2,500 rpm / 600 xg, and it spins down samples in less than 20 seconds. The rotor quickly swings the plates into horizontal position, concentrating droplets into the bottom of the wells.
• Automatic Stopping System: Once the run is complete, the centrifuge automatically slows down, and the rotor comes to a quick, smooth stop in just 4 seconds. Plates can then be easily removed from the rotor without any mess or spillage.
• Safety and Convenience: The PlateFuge™ features an automatic lid lock that ensures the lid cannot be opened while the rotor is spinning, ensuring operator safety during operation.
