This is a fabulous Copper Thunderbird necklace made by a Native American craftsman and sold by Bell Trading Post. This large pendant necklace is solid copper on a linked chain. The Native American Indian Thunderbird symbol is a supernatural beast that protected them from underwater creatures by bolts of lighting and creating thunder with their wings. The Bell Trading Company sold Native American Indian jewelry at various tourist locations in the South West until 1972. It was based in Albuquerque New Mexico. The large pendant measures 2 ¼ x 1¾ inches and copper link chain is 23" long and has a secure fold over clasp.
