About the Book

This book is an outcome of a National Seminar held on the theme, " Politics of Location with Special Reference to Northeast India" which was organized by the Department of Political Science, Sazolie College, Jotsoma, Kohima, Nagaland, on 14th and 15th November 2014.

Study of the Northeastern region attracts many scholars, policymakers and state authorities for different interests towards understanding the complexity of the region that had been left without proper attention in the past even after Indian independence. It is important for academicians, scholars, social scientists and policy planners to re-examine carefully the new emerging developments and issues that have taken place in recent years with an open mind and provide spectrum of change in the region. The papers in this volume hopes to open up new windows for further deliberation towards widening the horizons of research and academic discourses.
