The Extech EX350 Series comprises professional True RMS digital multimeters with a built-in Non-Contact AC Voltage Detector (NCV). The line includes the EX350 and the temperature-equipped EX355, both built as full-feature handheld DMMs loaded with advanced measurement modes and functions for electrical troubleshooting and verification.
A digital multimeter measures voltage, current, resistance, and related electrical parameters on a single handheld instrument, making it one of the most universal diagnostic tools on any electrical or electronics bench. The EX350 Series adds a True RMS converter for accurate AC readings on distorted or noisy waveforms, and a Low Pass Filter (LPF) that attenuates high frequencies to reduce noise when measuring variable frequency drive (VFD) signals. The built-in Non-Contact AC Voltage Detector quickly checks for the presence of AC voltage before testing.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois.
Extech Instruments became part of FLIR Systems in 2007 and operates as a FLIR brand of professional test and measurement instruments.
The Extech EX350 Series is a two-model line of professional True RMS multimeters: the EX350 and the EX355. Both share the same core True RMS measurement architecture, plus or minus 0.5% basic DCV accuracy, Non-Contact AC Voltage Detection, Low Impedance (LoZ) mode, and Low Pass Filter, and both occupy the same 6.7 x 3.2 x 1.9 inch handheld form factor at 13.1oz.
The two models differ principally in display resolution, resistance range, and temperature capability, letting a buyer choose between the 4000-count EX350 and the higher-resolution, temperature-equipped EX355.
Each model below has its own dedicated product page with new-condition pricing. Select the model that matches your measurement requirements, then choose the listing that reflects the new condition and price that fits your needs.
The EX350 anchors the series with a 4000-count backlit LCD and resistance measurement to 40.00MOhm, shipping complete with test leads and two AA batteries. It delivers the full common feature set, including True RMS, NCV, LoZ, LPF, Data Hold, Min/Max/Max-Min, Relative Mode, continuity, and diode test, in a compact handheld package.
The EX355 steps up to a 6000-count backlit LCD, extends resistance measurement to 60.00MOhm, and adds Type K temperature measurement from -40 to 1832F (-40 to 1000C). It ships with test leads, two AA batteries, and a general purpose bead wire temperature probe. The EX350 provides a 4000-count display and resistance to 40.00MOhm, ships with test leads and two AA batteries, and does not include the temperature function.
All other measurement ranges, including DC/AC voltage to 600V, current to 10.00A, capacitance to 60.00mF, frequency to 10MHz, and duty cycle from 0.1 to 99.9%, are common across both models. See the comparison table below for the model-by-model breakdown.
| Model | Display Counts | DC/AC Voltage | Resistance |
|---|---|---|---|
| EX350 | 4000 | 0.01mV to 600V | 0.1Ω to 40.00MΩ |
| EX355 | 6000 | 0.01mV to 600V | 0.1Ω to 60.00MΩ |
